Norris Serves As Expert in the MACPA Mock Trial CPE Program

November 7th, 2012

“Have you been called to testify in court? Would you like to know what to expect before you have to take that first deposition or the stand? This event will present an interactive “mock” deposition and trial to help you understand what really goes on when you are asked to testify as a damages expert. You will gain an understanding of the strategies used in deposition and how they carry over to the testimony at trial. In addition, you will learn what to look out for and what not to forget. This unique event will provide useful training for CPA’s who find themselves in the courtroom defending their opinions regarding a valuation or other consulting engagement. If you are an attorney or law student, you can gain unique insight and education on what CPA’s do to provide assistance in litigation and why it is important to hire an expert with the proper credentials (i.e., ABV, ASA, CVA, CFE) and experience.” Read the rest of this entry »
